Memory card prices have been hitting crazy new highs lately

I was pretty shocked by the new pricing while scouting for a high-value card for a client

I just had to write a post to commemorate a second-tier brand reaching such a high price point

The card I picked this time is the

TCELL MicroSDXC UHS-I (A2) U3 512GB Surveillance Memory Card

It’s guaranteed for 3000 P/E Cycles (Program Erase Cycle), which is actually a solid performance for TLC flash

Simply put, this is a HIGH ENDURANCE memory card

It’s perfectly fine if you want to use it for a dash cam

Just a heads-up: double-check the maximum capacity your device can handle before buying

Even now, plenty of devices still max out at 128GB

No surprises with the packaging—it's the standard blister pack shown above

It comes with one MicroSD card and one adapter

All the speed-related info is printed right on the MicroSD card itself

It meets UHS-I U3 and Video Speed Class V30 standards: This means the minimum write speed is 30 MB/s

App Performance Class A2: If your card reader is powerful enough, it can hit 4000 / 2000 IOPS

Let's do a quick reality check

I’m using a Kingston Media Reader USB3.0. [cite_start]It’s a bit old, so the speeds might lag slightly behind the official claims

But surprisingly, the gap was very small

Read: 94.21 MB/s (Official figure is 100 MB/s)

Write: 89.24 MB/s (Official figure is 80 MB/s)

IOPS data is below

The basic performance is actually better than the ADATA card I picked up previously

ADATA High Endurance microSDXC UHS-I U3 A2 V30 128GB Quick Unboxing

However, which one is more durable remains to be seen

I'll leave this post here for now and update it with a "closing box" report once the card finally dies
