Lately, there’s been a lot of buzz online from media and tech enthusiasts about lesser-known Chinese PC brands selling refurbished mini PCs.
I got super curious about these tiny machines myself.
I mean, last year I picked up an Acer Revo Box RB102 quad-core mini PC with an N100 processor, and it set me back almost six grand without any discounts.
But the word is these mini PCs with a solid i5-12450H CPU are going for around five thousand NT dollars (barebones)—that’s crazy!
So, I did some digging and learned these PCs are showing up because Intel’s clearing out their Intel 7 process CPUs,
which are basically their older 10nm laptop chips from a while ago.
From what’s out there online, the CPUs with decent stock are:
● Intel 12th Gen Core i5-12450H: 8 cores, 12 threads
● Intel 12th Gen Core i7-12700H: 14 cores, 20 threads
