Sticking to our year-end tradition, I’m back with our annual deep dive into business desktops—giving my loyal readers a clear roadmap for your procurement planning in the coming year.

Before we dive in, let’s set the record straight.

The PCs that power major commercial environments inhabit a completely different world compared to the "DIY hardware consensus" you’ll find in most online forums.

When picking a business desktop, the focus is on making life easier for IT managers. It’s all about management efficiency, with stability and security being the absolute, non-negotiable priorities.

That’s exactly why we always recommend that enterprises stick with professional pre-built systems.

These business machines come with standardized parts and have undergone rigorous validation for compatibility and long-term stability.

And when that inevitable hardware hiccup happens...

These certifications and support systems are exactly why DIY rigs—no matter how impressive their raw performance—just don't make the cut for big business.

The reality is simple: DIY builds lack systematic, hassle-free warranties, and their durability hasn't been put through high-spec, industrial-grade testing.

Now, let’s talk about today’s star performer.

I’m sure you’ve felt it since late 2025—AI software is evolving at breakneck speed.

Naturally, a new wave of AI-powered systems is hitting the market, designed to help you crush your workload and skyrocket your team's efficiency.

This transition is quickly becoming the new gold standard for choosing a business desktop.

Today, we’re looking at ASUS’s first-ever AMD-powered Copilot+ PC for business:

ASUS ExpertCenter P700 Mini Tower (PM700MK)

After two years of proving its dominance in the home and gaming markets, one thing is now crystal clear:

AMD has officially taken the lead in the CPU performance arena.

Having spent time perfecting its system integration and meeting the stringent demands of corporate cybersecurity,

AMD’s leap into the commercial market is now a total no-brainer.

The ASUS ExpertCenter P700 Mini Tower (PM700MK) we’re looking at today

is ASUS's flagship masterpiece, bringing AMD’s powerful core to the professional business stage.

Under the hood, it features the 7 350 processor,

fully integrated with an AMD Neural Processing Unit (NPU),

packing a massive 50 TOPS NPU (that’s 50 trillion AI operations per second!).

This beast is built to handle local AI workloads with ease, significantly boosting your PC’s on-device AI capabilities.

This is the secret sauce behind its full support for Microsoft Copilot+ features.

The PM700MK business desktop is powered by the AMD Ryzen™ AI 7 350 processor.

The "heart" of this P700MK is truly something to behold.

It utilizes the cutting-edge 4nm Zen 5 architecture—originally designed exclusively for top-tier flagship laptops.

What does that mean for you? You get mobile-level energy efficiency and ultra-low heat, but with explosive desktop-grade performance.

This tech is making its grand debut on a business platform, ensuring that even during heavy AI processing, your host runs fast, cool, and whisper-quiet!

And it comes with built-in AMD Radeon™ 860M graphics based on the AMD RDNA™ 3.5 architecture.

But wait, there’s more. The AMD Ryzen™ AI 7 350 packs 8 Zen 5 cores and RDNA™ 3.5 graphics, making multitasking, video editing, or AI computations incredibly fluid.

Even more impressive? AMD’s XDNA 2 technology delivers up to a 5x NPU performance leap over the first generation.

You’ll really feel that AI acceleration in action—whether it’s image recognition or professional AI-powered software, everything is just more efficient!

It truly offers best-in-class performance across the CPU, GPU, and NPU.

We ran a quick, focused test on the CPU portion,

and as you can see, the performance is stellar.

Plus, it’ll only get better and more stable as future driver updates roll out!

When you combine the CPU with the raw power of the built-in NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5060  discrete GPU,

it's a whole new ball game. Compared to other business PCs in the same price bracket,

the AI processing speed is a staggering 4.8x faster—perfect for Generative AI, high-end video editing, and Large Language Model (LLM) inference.

Thanks to this powerhouse hardware, ASUS's exclusive AI meeting assistant suite runs with incredible smoothness and pinpoint recognition accuracy.

The suite is called  ASUS AI ExpertMeet.

It’s seamlessly integrated into the ASUS Expert Panel  ,

putting all your essential meeting tools right at your fingertips to give your productivity wings.

AI Meeting Minutes: Captures entire meetings, converts audio to text, and generates summaries categorized by speaker.

AI Translated Subtitles: Provides real-time translated subtitles for global calls or recordings, breaking down language barriers instantly.

AI Audio Noise Cancelation: Uses massive deep-learning models to eliminate background noise, ensuring your voice is always crystal clear.

Watermarking: Lets you add on-screen watermarks to protect your content and minimize the risk of unauthorized screenshots.

Because these features leverage the NPU, they run flawlessly in the background without slowing down your video call.

Not only does this skyrocket your meeting quality, but since everything is processed locally on the device, your data security gets a major boost as well.

This includes the ultra-efficient AI Meeting Minutes feature.

The audio from your meeting is transcribed into text in real-time right here.

It's a huge time-saver for organizing post-meeting recaps and verifying details, drastically boosting your overall efficiency.

You can pre-set the recognition language for the transcription

to ensure the highest possible accuracy for your documents.

Need to translate a recorded meeting? It handles that in a flash too.

The transcription tool isn't limited to live audio—you can import other audio files for processing as well.

And then, use AI to translate the entire transcript.

Since the text is generated via speech recognition, it’s always a good idea to do a quick double-check.

That said, the AI is remarkably good at identifying different speakers in a multi-person meeting.

The speaker identification feature lets you easily tag each participant

and get instant, real-time translations of the entire conversation.

In terms of functionality, the speech recognition is top-notch.

Even if the Chinese transcription isn't 100% perfect or shows some homophone errors,

the translation still manages to capture about 80% to 90% of the intended meaning.

It’s an impressive performance that gets the job done.

Post-transcription, it even helps you summarize the key takeaways, making your meetings twice as productive.

And here's a pro tip: You can also set up your own local AI computation on this business desktop.

(Think of it as having an unlimited AI subscription with zero usage fees! XD)

AMD officially recommends: Lemonade: Run Local AI Apps in Minutes

The Lemonade Server is an open-source project specifically designed for running Large Language Models (LLMs) locally.

Its core highlight is the hybrid hardware acceleration using both the GPU and NPU, allowing your AI PC to run AI apps more efficiently and with much lower power consumption.

Once the installation is complete, you'll see in the interface that

we can freely choose and install AI core modules locally for AI training and tasks.

Each module has its own specialty, so feel free to explore which one fits your needs.

Lately, Gemma 3 has been the one everyone is raving about.

Depending on the module you choose, you can have the AI handle various services for you.

Whether it’s image generation, data organization, chart creation, or project brainstorming—it’s all at your fingertips.

For instance, when I’m doing research and want to speed up my progress, I have the AI generate video summaries for me.

This saves me an incredible amount of time that I’d otherwise spend scrubbing through videos to verify content.

As you can see in the image below, the NPU is clearly doing the heavy lifting when running Lemonade.

Because of this, the CPU cores aren't being bogged down, which keeps the operating temperature nice and low.

Lower temperatures mean the fan doesn’t need to spin at high speeds, keeping the noise levels whisper-quiet.

The generation speed for organized content is lightning-fast—and I was even working on course presentations in Canva at the same time!

The overall smoothness is impressive, with both tasks running perfectly in parallel.

I can be designing a layout one second, check the AI-generated summary the next, and immediately pop the necessary info into my slides.

My efficiency in creating course materials has skyrocketed—and honestly, so has my hourly rate!

Let’s circle back to the hardware itself.

This desktop comes in a Mini Tower size, often referred to in retail as a 15L chassis.

Using the 24" monitor in the photo as a reference, you can get a good sense of its compact scale.

It’s actually smaller than most M-ATX cases found in the DIY market, making it a major space-saver that’s easy to fit anywhere.

(In fact, the volume is about 42% smaller than a traditional desktop.)

The grille design on the front is entirely made of vents, which effectively maximizes the airflow efficiency of the entire chassis.

The "ASUS ExpertCenter" branding has been moved to the diagonal bevel on the top-right front.

The font may seem smaller, but it’s actually more legible—it’s a low-profile look that maintains a strong premium presence.

The front also proudly displays the AMD Ryzen™ AI 7 certification sticker, signaling that this machine is perfectly equipped with the latest AMD power.

The entire desktop retains its tool-less design, allowing you to easily remove the outer shell and key internal components without any tools at all.

This makes swapping things like the Optical Disc Drive (ODD) or HDD a total breeze.

As per our tradition, let’s pop open the side panel and take a look inside.

Now, let's dive into the internals.

Starting this year, ASUS has fully transitioned the ExpertCenter P series to the new thermal module design shown below.

You can see how this layout makes the internal space much more open.

Not only does this allow for smoother airflow throughout the chassis, but it also makes maintenance and repairs significantly easier.

The cooling fins are positioned right at the case's exhaust vent, providing a cooling surface area of 1,218 cm².

An 8mm copper heat pipe efficiently channels heat away to these fins.

A load-adaptive 9cm smart fan then exhausts the hot air while cooling the CPU simultaneously.

By preventing heat buildup, the system can achieve superior cooling with lower fan speeds—noise levels drop as low as 27.8dB.

This ensures the CPU can deliver better, more stable, and high-efficiency performance at all times.

The motherboard utilizes all-solid capacitors

to enhance overall durability, helping the machine pass multiple MIL-STD 810H US Military Grade tests.

For memory, it uses SO-DIMM slots, which are common in laptops and small-form-factor desktops.

You can install up to a pair of DDR5 memory modules

for a total maximum capacity of 64GB.

It includes a built-in 2TB 3.5" HDD for bulk data storage.

Our unit features a Toshiba drive (a personal favorite of mine lately when it comes to hard drive brands).

The built-in 512GB SSD is installed right next to the PCIe 16x slot.

The operating system is pre-installed on this SSD (and it's upgradable up to 1TB).

As you'd expect today, the OS is Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (Windows 11 Home, No OS, or Pure OS are also available upon request).

This fully complies with Microsoft’s enterprise licensing requirements—it’s ready to go right out of the box with no extra license needed.

Furthermore, Windows 11 Pro makes it easy for users to manage various network settings.

Combined with ASUS’s exclusive ASUS ExpertGuardian security features,

the suite includes a NIST SP 800-155 compliant BIOS, up to 5 years of ASUS BIOS and driver updates, a Secure Processor unit, BIOS Self-healing, and TPM 2.0.

For companies that prioritize information security management, these are the essential requirements for any robust cybersecurity policy.

This desktop comes equipped with an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5060 (note: discrete graphics are an optional specification).

This card features a dual-fan design, which helps ensure the GPU remains stable and performs at its peak under heavy loads.

Additionally, this business desktop still features the increasingly rare Optical Disc Drive (ODD, optional).

The I/O section maintains the signature ASUS Expert standard—it is absolutely abundant. The front still houses a Smart Card Reader / SD 2.0 Card Reader (optional), which is a vital feature for many businesses. This is because many security certificates and tokens still rely on physical cards even today.

In addition, the front panel features:

2 x Type A USB 3.2 Gen 1 1 x Type C USB 3.2 Gen 1 1 x Audio Combo Jack

On the rear of the desktop (excluding GPU outputs):

1 x HDMI port 2.1 for UMA (Supports 4K @ 120Hz) 1 x DP 1.4 HBR2 1 x USB 3.2 Type-A (Blue) 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A (Black) 1 x 1G LAN (RJ-45) port with LED indicator 3 x Audio jacks supporting 7.1-channel audio output

That covers most of the internal hardware and software features. Now, let’s discuss the integrated commercial services I mentioned earlier.

ASUS has established a dedicated "Commercial Team" specifically to support enterprise users.

This service is incredibly practical for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), as many of them lack a dedicated, professional IT department.

Often, these tasks fall to the most tech-savvy employee in the office, who might only be familiar with home-use PCs.

Sometimes, procurement is even handled by general affairs or accounting staff who might not be able to correctly identify basic technical specifications.

As a result, when a company seriously needs to transition to a professional business system environment, they often struggle to find the right specs that match their actual budget and needs.

When an enterprise has equipment procurement needs, the ASUS Commercial Team acts as a vital bridge between IT requirements and procurement staff.

This prevents "spec drift"—where you request Spec A but end up with Spec B, which is either underpowered or completely wrong for the job.

They also offer customized hardware and software recommendations for business models,

allowing for tailored adjustments to meet specific commercial needs with the fastest possible response time.

Furthermore, if hardware issues arise in the future, they provide both remote and on-site troubleshooting services.

This eliminates the communication breakdowns often caused by tedious or over-complicated procurement and maintenance workflows.

At the same time, they provide immediate technical support. For example, if a client experiences compatibility issues with third-party software,

the ASUS Commercial Team can assist the company's IT staff in resolving the problem as quickly as possible.

Overall, the ASUS Commercial Team is your best partner for pre-sales planning, mid-sales consulting, and after-sales service.

They’ve even launched a new, comprehensive support service called 「ASUS Business Support Plus」—definitely worth checking out if you're interested.

In a commercial environment, warranty and repair services are what users should care about most.

The ASUS Expert business series offers on-site service in Taiwan, a 3-year global warranty, and the option to purchase extended coverage for up to 5 years.

Combined with the MyASUS in WinRE self-diagnostic service, it helps business professionals and IT staff pinpoint hardware issues instantly.

By providing the MyASUS in WinRE diagnostic report to technicians, the repair process becomes much more efficient.

It eliminates the "miscommunication" that often happens between users and repair staff, significantly improving maintenance efficiency and satisfaction.

With the full backing of the ASUS Commercial Team—from customized procurement to logistical support—companies get a total service solution.

This high level of reliability gives business professionals and power users true peace of mind.

This enterprise trust is clearly reflected in the sales performance of the product line.

ASUS Expert business PCs have been the #1 market share leader in Taiwan 18 times (2006–2024) and are well on their way to a 19th.

As for business desktops, they have held the #1 spot 15 times between 2009 and 2024.

The team’s professionalism is beyond doubt, and enterprises clearly place their full trust in ASUS commercial products!

Beyond exceptional hardware, ASUS offers a variety of business solutions (Click here to learn more).

For example, my clients in Southern Taiwan frequently utilize:

HR Management Systems

File Traceability Security Control

These features are incredibly convenient choices for the vast number of SMEs in Taiwan.

Finally, let's wrap this up with a quick summary.

The business desktop series has evolved into the

ASUS ExpertCenter P700 Mini Tower (PM700MK)

and we are thrilled to finally see an AMD-based solution hit the market.

We welcome this development wholeheartedly.

From our practical, hands-on experience, AMD has long reached the quality standards for performance and stability required for professional business use.

The CPUs produced using TSMC's 4nm process provide an energy-efficient yet high-performance silicon solution.

the NPU architecture provides over 50 NPU TOPS (trillions of operations per second) of AI processing power.

When paired with the NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 5060, the AI capabilities are even more astonishing, representing a massive upgrade in computing power.

Whether it’s image generation, model training, or complex computations, this machine handles it all with ease.

Regarding durability, it has passed the even more rigorous "MIL-STD 810H US Military Grade standard tests" as well as ASUS's stringent internal quality tests.

It delivers a tangible performance boost over competing platforms.

Furthermore, since ASUS Expert is the #1 business PC brand in Taiwan,

this pedigree should give any boss the confidence they need to sign off on that procurement request.

I hope this serves as a valuable reference for your company as you move toward an AI-driven workspace in 2026!
